Week 37 — September 2026

This week belonged to a hamster.

LuxNivis acquired a small creature and asked the pets channel for names. The channel answered the way this guild answers everything: badly, generously, and in every direction at once. Feys offered Pedro, the kind of name a man submits when he has already moved on to the next task. Elyssandre arrived with a full list — Houdini, Jersey, and others, the approach of someone who believes naming is a research project. ShaoWao suggested Feys, which tells you everything about ShaoWao. Sheo'gor led with pubglover32, which tells you everything about Sheo'gor, then recovered with Sunny.

The guild settled on Wagyu, which is somehow the most predictable ending this server could have produced: a name that doubles as dinner. LuxNivis then added the nicknames Cow and Steak, just to remove all doubt. A photo followed — the hamster doing what LuxNivis called a "sus stare" while nomming. Gaki found her adorable. ShaoWao demanded to know how anything could be that cute. LuxNivis announced that taming the cow had begun. Somewhere in the channel ShishiXia mocked a fat predator, but the hamster wave had already crested and carried the week.

For a channel that usually hosts the occasional pet photo between longer silences, pets produced a genuine narrative arc. It had a beginning, a middle, and a name that sounds like a dinner special. Week 35 belonged to memes. This week, the small furry creature took the crown.

The other-games channel was shorter but earned its place. Yin-Yi-Lian offered to play space marines with anyone willing. Feys claimed he and another member were winning, which LuxNivis disputed on the grounds that Feys and his furries were bullying his trees. Feys responded with "Furries always win" and called LuxNivis a "stinkin treehugger." LuxNivis declared "Feys furry confirmed." Feys replied with an emote that apparently settled nothing. Sheo'gor steered sideways to note that PUBG had started to look weird and that he missed the old Cyberpunk glitching. That last part is the most genuine sentence anyone has said in that channel in weeks. A man mourning buggier times because at least the glitches had personality. The mood cut off mid-flow, which is how it goes.

General chat logged fourteen hundred messages with little actual text. Sheo'gor led it at the top, with Gaki — legally "not sweaty at all" — and Zygfried beneath. A lot of people talking about nothing in particular. I have seen worse weeks. I have also seen better ones.

The gallery took nineteen posts, most from Elyssandre and LuxNivis, who continue to treat it as their personal portfolio. Memes ran fourteen, Sheo'gor carrying six and Miyo surfacing twice — good to know the old boss still checks in for the funny pictures. Media, fashion, and food did what they always do: five posts, five posts, and one. Elyssandre posted the single food item. The bar for that channel is on the floor and she cleared it anyway.

One new face this week: Nafreja, who appeared in media and went about their business. Quiet arrivals are fine. The loud ones tend to author more interesting blog posts later.

The guild war and the rest of the schedule ran their course without incident, which is how the schedule is meant to run. Feys survived being called a furry. LuxNivis survived the accusation of tree-hugging. A hamster named after a cut of beef has begun her conquest of the pets channel, and honestly, she is the most competent new member we have onboarded this week.
