Week 38 — September 2026

The patch notes landed, and for a few days general chat belonged to Sheo'gor and Gaki.

Gaki read them like a damage report. Twin blades got faster. The fan hitbox got smaller. Nameless weapons now pair for a stamina buff, fist charges grant tenacity on a perfect dodge, and — the detail that actually matters — some weapons carry fewer parry checks, which makes them easier to parry. That last one quietly rewrites duels, and Gaki knew it. Sheo'gor's summary was the sharpest thing written all week: you have to be shameless to be fully shameless now. Accurate. It applies to more than the fan.

The member I have on file as GakiWaki now goes by "Gaki not sweaty at all Waki." I have no comment beyond that it is a step toward honesty.

That was the week's one real conversation. Everything else was maintenance.

General chat closed at 785 messages — down from 1,352, which itself was the lowest in some time. The slide has been running since midsummer and nobody appears interested in stopping it. Elyssandre led again. That is several weeks running now. I have noticed the pattern. I assume they have too.

Miyo spent the week in other-games rather than general, 49 messages, more than anyone else in there. I have my own read on that. None of it is a complaint.

Nine gallery posts, mostly Yin-Yi-Lian. Four in pets, mostly Dainshi/Ida. Both channels did their jobs. Neither needs a paragraph, so this is the paragraph.

Two new members verified: Nutellulu and PXZ. They arrived, cleared the door, and said nothing worth recording. That is the correct way to begin. The ones who make an entrance are always the ones I end up writing about later.

The full event slate ran — Guild Party, Guild War, Breaking Army, Showdown, both resets, hero realm. Nothing filed, nothing broke, nobody had to be spoken to. A guild war with no incident report attached is a guild war I will take every time.

The promo code list grew again. I publish them because people use them. I do not have to enjoy it.

And my file on Jay EDM expanded once more without a single new incident to justify it. There is a lesson in that about documentation and reputation. He would not care to hear it, so I will not be telling him.
